Adrienne and David Kallweit are Tulsans. Adrienne grew up literally one mile from the Lewis Avenue location. They raised their family here. They built a nationwide childcare referral business called Seeking Sitters right here in Midtown Tulsa, then pivoted during the pandemic, moved their family of nine to a farm, and eventually took on a historic building project in downtown Bartlesville.

When no tenants materialized for the renovated Bartlesville space, Adrienne made a bold call. They would become restaurateurs. First came Palace Rooms, an upscale dining concept. Then, two years ago, came Lollipops Woodfire & Grocery. It was an immediate, undeniable hit. Lines out the door. Day after day. The Kallweits knew right then that Tulsa had to be next.

"Tulsa is home," Adrienne said. "We grew up here, raised our family here, and we were ready to get back home." That is not a marketing line. That is a family returning to their roots, and Midtown Tulsa is better for it.

What Is Coming Next

The Kallweits are not done. Palace Rooms, their upscale dining concept from Bartlesville, will open soon in the south side of the building. Between the two restaurants will be a speakeasy featuring private dining, live music, and standup comedy. The craft cocktail menu, overseen by their son Canaan, will carry over to Lollipops as well.

Midtown Tulsa is getting an entire destination. At one address on South Lewis, you will soon be able to grab wood-fired pizza, shop a boutique grocery, enjoy upscale dining, and catch live entertainment in a speakeasy.
